Efterårets "must have" fra "Én Gry og Sif"! - Fairtrade!!

"Scarf Grey Pearl Flower" (Beige)
Tørklæderne er lige som de øvrige varer fra Én Gry & Sif, Fair Trade produkter.

Læs historien bag "Én Gry og Sif" her:
Year 2002After many years of hectic work, the two sisters Gry and Sif resigned from their jobs and set off on a three-month trip through India and Nepal in search of new inspiration. They found it in a little village near Kathmandu, where the local women created and designed the most exquisite products in felt.
With flip-flops on their feet and backpacks on their backs, Gry and Sif pondered how they could turn these beautiful products into a business ... and Én Gry & Sif was born.
The beginningBack in Copenhagen, they developed their business idea. They wanted to offer products that would combine unique Scandinavian design with Nepalese felted wool. The result was a series of products ranging from soft toys and stuffed animals to sophisticated embroidered floor cushions. The "Én" (which means "One") in the name Én Gry & Sif stands for something unique: all of the products are handmade and therefore always vary slightly – and thus there is only "One" of each.
The heartThe company grew, but the Nepalese women who made the products in the small villages outside Kathmandu were never forgotten. The ethos of Én Gry & Sif is that working conditions must be satisfactory!
The Nepalese workers must have proper conditions, workplaces with access to green spaces, acceptable working hours, clean drinking water, environmentally-friendly toilets, etc. The factories are visited several times a year, to ensure that working conditions are as they ought to be.
In 2009, Én Gry & Sif were awarded the Fair Trade certificate by the World Fair Trade Organization:
TodayToday, Gry is the designer for Én Gry & Sif. A good design is very important to Gry, but she knows that customers these days also want more:  "The customers want much more than just an attractive design. They long for products with soul, but at the same time, they also want to be sure that the workers who make the products are treated properly and receive a decent wage for their work. Social responsibility and Fair Trade have been very important to us right from the start, and we are delighted to see that these issues are also high on our customers' wish lists."
